During the forum, lessons and instructions of Chinese traditional calligraphy and paper cutting were given to our honoured forum participants. It was the first time for many of our Canadian and US educators to use brushes to write. Many of them showed great interests and did great jobs under professional instructions. Another highlight of this forum was the performance show provided by one of the forum hosting – Nantong No.1 Middle School. The show mixed Western and Eastern culture together. All the performers are senior students from Nantong No. 1 Middle School.
The forum session was merely the highlight of the trip for all our Canadian and US visitors. The group visited several famous tourism cities and attraction sites, including Beijing – The Great Wall of China and Forbidden City, Shanghai- Oriental Perl Tower and Chenghuangmiao Market, Hangzhou- West Lake etc. On this trip, they all experienced the rich Chinese culture and tradition. The forum is over. However, the experience and the memory will last. And, the friendship will continue. |
